Although I've just completed a stash project and thus am allowed to start a new project, I have been working on another stash project. It's a zone-front anglaise for which I'm using the (orangy-browny) burgundy embroidered taffeta. First I was thinking of making a gold coloured petticoat to go with it. I'm going to set myself a challenge to get rid of my stash. I need to make a stash project, before I'm allowed to start a new project (this is a project for which I have to buy new stuff). And after completing a new project, I have to start a stash project again.

A few weeks ago I posted some fabric of my stash and I'm proud to say I've used one! Yeah, finally destashing :D. I've made a polonaise out of the black/white striped fabric. It's not completely trimmed yet, but I do not have enough in my stash and I'm not buying anything new at the moment. So it will have to do for now.

Since I decided I wanted to use the waterfall oveskirt for my black natural form gown, I thought it would be wise to try it out first. I had an aubergine coloured taffeta with small black vevet dots in my stash for which I had nothing planned yet.

Since I wasn't able to spend time on the internet, I've used my time to sew. So another project was started and finished. As I'm still trying to de-stash and I'm having a "blue period", I decided to use the royal blue butterfly brocade. My original plan was to make a natural form gown. This was my design:

I had 15 yards of blue/green peacock taffeta in my stash which is really wanted to use. My original plan was to make a robe a la francaise. But since they are more "difficult"to wear (it's just no always that easy to wear panniers when visiting a castle for pictures), I decided to make robe a l'anglaise instead. I worked hard the last three days, but both the talma wrap and the 18th century waistcoat are finished. They're not my greatest creations ever, because the lining is pulling at some places, but they will do for now.

It might be a bit colder next weekend in Leipzig (with chances of rain), so I need something to wear over my victorian gowns. I always wanted to make a Talma Wrap (TV500), but never did start it.
